Rini Sucahyo is the Communications Manager Asia for Ember, managing and maintaining core engagement and communications for the region in close collaboration with the Asia and global teams. She has over 25 years of experience—both profit and non-profit—in strategic management and communications, with key achievements including successfully leading the communications team at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in a partnership with Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment and Forestry and winning the ASEANTA Awards for Excellence 2016 in the category of “Best Travel Article” from Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism. She also sat in the Board of Directors of the Borneo Orangutan Survival (BOS) Foundation, overseeing communications management and policies of the organisation.

Rini is currently based in Jakarta, Indonesia, but has studied, lived and worked in the USA, New Zealand, and the Republic of Korea. She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Lincoln University in Christchurch, New Zealand. In her free time, Rini loves traveling and all kinds of water sports, particularly diving, and also has a sweet tooth for chocolates and ice creams.
