Raul Miranda is the Global Programme Director at Ember, leading the team responsible for international analysis and monitoring the global transition to clean electricity. With over 15 years of experience in energy transition and climate policy, he has advised governments and companies on power sector transformation, hydrogen, the decarbonisation of economic sectors, and energy-related climate risk.
Before joining Ember, Raul led advisory engagements and analyses at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) across Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Africa. Most recently, he was a Senior Consultant at WayCarbon. Raul studied Industrial Engineering and holds a PhD in Energy Planning from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
Outside work, he enjoys reading, travelling, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with his son.
