Ember in the world’s top think tanks for a second year
Ember has been voted as one of 55 Think Tanks to Watch in 2026
On Think Tanks today launches Think Tanks to Watch 2026 – featuring Ember for the second year running – recognising 55 organisations around the world for their innovation and rigour.
The initiative celebrates think tanks recognised by their peers for noteworthy practices, innovative approaches and contributions to research, policy and public debate. It is a peer-recognition initiative informed by nominations from professionals in the sector.
“Ember is increasingly recognised as an essential knowledge partner on the future of energy,” said Phil MacDonald, CEO and co-founder of Ember. “From world-class open data to thought-leading insights, Ember helps policymakers and investors navigate the rapidly changing energy sector that is being transformed by renewables and electrification.”
Ember is known for its open data and research on topics including clean electricity, flexibility (including grids and batteries), electrification and methane.
Ember’s work is featured on the award’s new interactive initiatives library designed to make the experiences of featured think tanks more accessible and useful to the wider community.
