About
Ember, in collaboration with the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) has launched Indian States’ Electricity Transition (SET) Data Tool based on the SET2026 report and its previous editions. The tool allows users to access and compare various datasets demonstrating state-level progress in their clean electricity transition. The data covers 21 Indian states and details across 18 parameters under three key dimensions: 1) decarbonisation; 2) readiness and performance of the power ecosystem; 3) market enablers.
Together these states represent about 95% of the country’s annual power demand over the past eight financial years (FY), 2018 to 2025. Data is collected from various publically available sources including central and state government portals and credible third-party studies.
