Wilmar has more than 14 years of professional experience promoting energy sustainability in Latin American and Caribbean countries. His work has focused on promoting access to sustainable energy in isolated areas, encouraging the use of renewable energy in agro-industrial processes, designing energy efficiency policies and initiatives, and promoting the decarbonization of energy demand in cities, among others.
Wilmar is an energy engineer with a master’s degree in energy business and a MSc in energy policy. In his personal time, he enjoys hiking, caving, and watching football.
