Eleanor has joined Ember from a background in climate and environment policy in the UK Civil Service. She is leading the team on Coal Mine Methane, which has been the ‘overlooked’ issue in the climate crisis.
Eleanor has worked as a diplomat in China covering climate and biodiversity negotiations. Before this she was at DEFRA since 2013, working on a variety of international environment issues. This includes managing global programmes aimed at reducing deforestation.
Outside of work you will find her in nature, hiking, generally marvelling at plants and animals and diving with sharks wherever possible.
