Dave is co-founder of Ember. He has been an electricity analyst for 25 years and works on identifying insights and leverage points around the global electricity transition. From 2000 to 2013, he was working as an electricity analyst at German utility E.ON. He joined the non-profit Sandbag in 2014, where he was working on phasing out coal in Europe to 2020.
In 2020, he helped set up Ember by building the data team, Asia team and the coal mine methane team, and setting up Ember’s flagship Global Electricity Review, which is now in its fifth year.
